A graduate in agricultural economics from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and in bank management from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, he obtained his doctorate in 1995 and his habilitation in 2006. He became associate professor in 2010, titular professor of economic sciences on 19 December 2014, and full professor four years later.
In his academic work he specializes in economics, finance and commercial and cooperative banking. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications, including 19 books. To date, he has lectured on topics including banking (in Polish and English), management of credit institutions, corporate finance, risk management, market research, microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial policy, managerial accounting, etc. He was head of the postgraduate programme “Cooperative Bank Management” and of a full-time doctoral programme.
He has collaborated with local government, government, cooperative and corporate administrations, banks and the European Parliament, and was a consultant to FAO (2010-2014). He has completed internships in the USA, where he cooperated with the University of Arkansas on bank lending to farms and small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas. He has also been on a research internship in Finland, where he lectured to and advised doctoral students at the University of Vaasa and dealt with issues related to funding for research and innovation in the economy.
So far he has mentored eight doctoral candidates and four more dissertations under his direction are in preparation. In addition, he has been the supervisor of more than 200 master’s and bachelor’s theses, a reviewer of doctoral and postdoctoral theses, and chairman of a committee for the award of the title of professor. He is an educator of several generations of students and a friend of doctoral candidates and academics.

German philologist, translator. A graduate of Germanic philology at the University of Warsaw and the University of Regensburg (Germany). Lecturer of German language and literature at Seton Hall and Montclair State Universities in the United States. Doctor of Humanities in the field of literary studies. Her scientific interests also focus on cultural comparatistics and glottodidactics. Publications of scientific achievements in German Studies, Neophilology for the Future, In the Dialogue of Languages and Cultures; member of the scientific council of the annual Language and Literary Studies of Warsaw; member of the Association of Germanists of Poland.
English philologist, translator, and language skills coach. A graduate of English philology and doctoral studies at the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw, and postgraduate studies in English and European law organized by the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the University of Cambridge Board of Continuing Education. Doctor of Humanities in the field of glottodidactics. Scientific achievements published in the Glottodidactic Review, post-conference publications; reviewer in the annual scientific Language and Literary Studies of Warsaw; a member of the Polish Neophilological Society; British Council scholarship holder; author of translations in the field of education; conference interpreter (simultaneous and consecutive); sworn translator of English; member of the Association of Polish Translators, and the Polish Association of Sworn and Specialist Translators TEPiS.
A graduate of the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw. He held managerial positions in various institutions related to tourism and recreation such as the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Warsaw City Hall, MDM Hotels, Nowa Praga and Majawa, and Foluszowy Potok in Zakopane, Tourism and Camping Office 123 Astur, Polish Federation of Camping and Caravanning. From 2004 to 2020, he was the President of the Warsaw Chamber of Tourism and the Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Tourism. Organizer of conferences, gatherings, and tourist events. From 1990 to 1998, he managed the hotel and recreational facilities of Polish construction sites in Iran, Iraq, and Egypt. Since 2011, he has been an academic lecturer. Since 2018, he has been the Vice President of the Tourism Employers Association and a member of the Sectoral Framework for Competences-Tourism.
A graduate of the Teacher’s College of Foreign Languages at the University of Warsaw and the University of Tourism and Foreign Languages in Warsaw. PhD student at the Institute of English Studies at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Łódź. Her main scientific interests concern the role and position of language variants and non-standard speech in interlingual equivalence in a sociolinguistic approach in the context of audiovisual translations.
A graduate of the Socio-Economic Faculty of the Warsaw School of Economics, then a long-term scientific employee of this university. Doctor of Humanities and habilitated doctor in the field of economic sciences. His scientific achievements primarily include organizing and conducting team research at SGH on the conditions of employee organization strategies, social movements towards privatization (Institute of Social Economy SGH 1990-1993). He conducted classes as part of SGH’s MBA in business communication and management. Author of publications on the social and economic barriers to economic and systemic transformation in Poland.
